Types of Architecture:
Italian architecture is one of the most timeless culteral aspects of Italy. While food and technology can come and go with the differing times, Italian architecture has survived thousands of years of war, conflict, and change, defining Italy as it is today. One of the reasons that Italy is so popular for tourists and people visiting is because the majestic architecture will draw them in such as the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Milan Cathedral. Collecting thousands of people a day, buildings such as these dramatize the influence of architecture in years past up to the present.
Even though the architectual time periods come and go, the actual buildings remain immortal in Italian culture, influencing people all throught Europe and the world.
One example of architecture during this time period was St. Mark's Basilica in Venice.
The famous Leaning Tower of Pisa is an example of Romanesque architecture.
The Basilica of San Francesco of Assisi is an example of Gothic Architecture.
The famous St. Peter's Basilica is a large representation of Renaissance architecture.
The Palace of Caserta is a colossal build that shows the rococo style of architecture.
The Cisternone is a 19th century example of Neoclassical architecture.
This modern looking skyscraper shows how different architecture is now from the past.
